Dr. Vikrant Mittal is a Neuropsychiatrist who also, specializes in Geriatric psychiatry. He completed his MBBS from the University of Mumbai and then, his M.D (Residency) from Yale University School of Medicine as Chief Resident. He is a Diplomate American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). He has wide experience being a Hospital administrator with Master of Health Science (MHS – Health Finance and Management) from Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health and awarded Fellow of American College of Health Care Executives (FACHE) certification for his expertise. He has to his credit numerous publications in US journals and chapters in Psychiatry books. Dr. Mittal was also, on National Advisory Boards of Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) and Otsuka Lundbeck, USA.
Over the years, he has been in varied teaching and administrative roles. From being a Medical Director of a Geriatric psychiatry unit, to being 7 hospital system Chairman of Psychiatry along with being Psychiatry Rotation Director at Temple School of Medicine, Philadelphia. He has also worked as a Chief Medical Officer of a 178 bed Pennsylvania Department of Human Services hospital. He was awarded Best Teacher award 3 years in a row, by Tufts University School of Medicine and recognized by Lancaster County Medical Association, in the field of teaching.
